Welcome to Pacific NW Portal's Regional Blogs Directory, comprised of links to progressive blogs within the states of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Collectively, these blogs form the nucleus of the netroots community in the Pacific Northwest.
Organization: The Directory sorts active blogs (that are still being maintained) by state or province and then city. New posts from active blogs appear in Breaking Now; inactive blogs are not listed. Twenty-four of these blogs (eight each from Washington, Oregon, and Idaho) are also syndicated on their respective state pages. A blog's home city is determined by where its author resides, or in the case of multiple contributors, where the blog's publisher is based.
Listing Details: Each listing contains the name of the blog, a description provided by the publisher, the date the blog was created (more specifically, the date of the first post) and an icon for the blog. The icon is either the blog''s favicon (if one exists), or alternatively, a tiny screenshot of the blog. Mouse over any listing to view the description and creation date for that blog. A tooltip will appear with that information.
